Many of the private healthcare plans (such as Manulife, Sun Life, Blue Cross) may include coverage for your routine eye examination and prescription eyewear. All you need to bring with you to enjoy our direct billing service is your policy number or your insurance card.

Eye examinations are covered by OHIP under the following conditions:
Children 19 years of age and under, covered for a routine eye examination once every 12 months, plus any follow-up assessments that may be required.
Seniors 65 years of age and over, covered for a routine eye examination once every 12 months, plus any follow-up assessments that may be required.
Adults aged 20 to 64, with specific medical conditions affecting the eye, covered for a routine eye examination once every 12 months. These medical conditions include: diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, cataract, retinal disease, amblyopia, visual field defects, corneal disease, etc.
